Stone Magic

Stone Magic

You can take six different books dealing with precious and semi-precious stone magic, stones and their occult properties and find six different opinions as to which do what. The reason for this is that the stones are usually corresponded with astrological planets and signs. The trouble there is that there are different scales of correspondences. . . .under one circumstance one scale should be applied, whilst under another a different scale holds well.
The safest way to use stones for healing is in the manner of the ancient Druids: making use the COLOR of the stone and applying the same principles used in Chromatic Therapy. For example, everyone knows yellow is good for intestinal and bowel disorders, as well as mental ailments. For these problems, one can wear a yellow stone such as yellow diamond, jasper, topaz, lemon quartz,  etc (do NOT wear amber, amber is not a true stone, since its origins are organic, and it could wreak havoc on your internal mana flow).
The stone should be placed on the afflicted area for at least an hour each day and should be worn, in the form of a pendant or ring, for the rest of the day, continuing until the cure is affected. Any good book on gems and minerals will give you full descriptions of the many varieties of stones available in the full spectrum of color, and often how to utilize them in stone magic. Rubies, emeralds, sapphires are obvious examples of red, green and blue, but there are many other equally effective yet far less expensive stones available.
